We are a højskole with a wide range of creative subjects. We believe we have some truly talented students who create amazing work – below, you can see some of the many student productions.
Film and TV Production
Odder Folk High School has proud traditions in film production. We use professional equipment to give our students the best opportunities to express themselves artistically.
Our students are constantly producing fantastic film projects. Each semester, we host a big film premiere. We roll out the red carpet as the film students showcase their films to the rest of the school.
Odder Folk High School is a great place to start if you dream of a future in film or television.

Drawing and Visual Arts
At Odder Højskole we love art! That’s why we provide the facilities, materials, and expertise needed to teach you how to draw, paint, and explore your artistic side.
We take art seriously, and we love experiencing each other’s work during our exhibitions in the school’s beautiful art room.

Ceramics
We offer two separate ceramics subjects. This means you’ll get an in-depth ceramics course, learning all the techniques from the ground up.

The sound of Odder Højskole
THE STUDENT UNION
We are the “student union” for everyone who is currently attending – or has previously attended – one of Odder Højskole’s long courses. In fact, you’re automatically a member, completely free of charge!
The student union’s board visits the school one or more weekends each semester and makes sure you feel like part of the big OH family. We bring fun activities, traditions, parties, and mischief – and much more!
We also have the opportunity to appoint a student representative to the school’s board. This way, students have a voice in the school’s future.
Each year, we host the big REUNION, where all former students and current spring semester students are invited to a weekend filled with coziness, great conversations, workshops with the teachers, and delicious folk high school food.
During REUNION, we raise money for our scholarship fund, which each semester is awarded to a student in particular financial or personal vulnerability. Our goal is to support students who may be struggling with mental health issues and find it difficult to finance a folk high school stay – because we believe that folk high school should be for everyone.
We also help select the recipient of The Golden Grundtvig – an award given annually by Odder Højskole to a person who has made a special contribution to popular enlightenment in Denmark.
In addition, we try to organize social events in Aarhus and Copenhagen – as well as smaller gatherings where you can meet others who also carry Odder Højskole with them. We aim to build connections across generations.
