AI and Robots

AI and robots might sound like something from the future—but the truth is, they’re already here, and you’re probably using them every day. During this Island Week, we’ll take our human brains on a journey into the heart of the machines to explore what these technologies can do—and what they can’t (yet).

Playful, Curious, and a bit Geeky

In AI & Robots, you get a full week to creatively experiment with some of today’s most exciting technologies that are already changing the world.

You’ll get hands-on with both generative AI and physical robots. It’ll be fun, educational, thought-provoking—and maybe a little challenging.

During the week, we’ll:

  • Work with AI tools like language models and image generators, learning how to craft the right prompts to get the results you want.
  • Build and program Lego robots that can move, sense their surroundings, and tackle various challenges. You’ll learn about mechanics, sensors, and coding.
  • Discuss ethics and responsibility: What happens when AI can write your assignments, make your decisions, or imitate humans? Is it always okay to use AI? Where do we draw the line—and who’s really in control?

Shape the technology – and Understand it

This subjects isn’t just about machines and code. It’s about understanding technology and how we as humans can shape and use it responsibly. No prior experience with AI or robots is needed—just bring your curiosity and willingness to experiment and think outside the box.

This subject is for those who love learning through play, working with their hands, and reflecting on where we’re headed.

You can also combine AI & Robots with other tech subjects like Technology, Programming, or Gaming.
