Industrial Design

industrial Design at
Odder Højskole

In Industrial Design, you take the computer into the workshop. Here, you work in the interdisciplinary field between aesthetics, user needs, and mass production. We explore strong examples within industrial design and visit manufacturing companies to gather inspiration for our own design projects.

design development From Computer screen to physical obejcts

In Industrial Design, you gain insight into managing creative processes, design development, and production.
We move from idea generation to 3D modeling, and you construct prototypes using the folk high school’s 3D printers and laser cutter.

With the help of machines and simple tools, you transform your design from the computer screen into physical design objects.

You will work with:

• 3D software and 3D modeling
• 3D printers, laser cutter, and craftsmanship
• Material understanding and functionality
• Design process and series production
• Innovation and user insight

If you are interested in design development and creative processes, you can also choose other design subjects at the folk high school, such as design projects, accessories, or ceramics. If you are more interested in the technological side, you can, for example, choose Technology or Programming.
