In Figure Drawing, you’ll immerse yourself in one of the most widely used—and most challenging—subjects in art: the human body. Few forms are as expressive or as essential. This is the artistic practice of drawing from a live model.
You’ll draw the body in motion and at rest. As a whole and in fragments: full figure, torso, hands, feet, portrait.
You’ll also draw items and objects that are intrinsically connected to the human form—jackets, shoes, gloves, chairs, and the space around the body.

This class is open to all. From filmmakers sketching storyboards to designers exploring how to clothe the body. Whether you’re looking for a creative hobby, hoping to develop your artistic skills, or considering a future in fine art or design, this course is for you.
Learning to draw the human body is a skill you’ll carry for life. And in the process, you’ll also learn to truly see another person.
