In Film History, our goal is to give you a broad perspective—from the very first moving images flickering in the dark at the end of the 19th century, to today’s screens filled with CGI, AI, handheld cameras, and smartphone footage.
Together, we watch and discuss the films that have shaped audiences for over a century—films that amaze, excite, disturb, inspire, and stay with us.

We explore the history and evolution of cinema. We revisit the classics—and ask what makes them classics. What do these films do, and how do they do it?
The aim is to make you a more thoughtful and curious film viewer—and of course, to spark plenty of inspiration for your own film projects.

In addition to the historical and theoretical perspective offered in Film History, you can take a hands-on approach in Film Production, where you’ll create films of your own.
