massage and bodyflow at
Odder Højskole
Welcome to Massage & Bodyflow.
Massage is communication without words. It calms the nervous system and reduces stress hormones in the body. It promotes blood circulation and supports the detox process that removes waste products. Massage loosens connective tissue, helps your muscles relax, and invites you into a deeper state of awareness that fosters rest and relaxation.
But that’s not all. Massage also trains your intuition and your ability to be present — key skills when connecting with others.
In this class, you’ll learn massage techniques and strokes tailored to different parts of the body. You’ll also learn how to begin and end a massage in a way that creates a safe and comfortable experience.
Massage is relaxing, but this is not a quiet subject. We work with body awareness, movement, and bodyflow, engaging your whole body and breath. This creates a dynamic style of massage where you find your own personal expression.
You’ll be introduced to different types of massage to build your own toolkit:
- Back massage
- Facial massage
- Massage using balls
- Foot massage and everyday reflexology
- Massage of neck, shoulders, arms, and hands
- Healing – a very gentle form of massage
- Techno massage to wild music
This course offers you lifelong tools. Massage can be used in so many contexts — whether with a friend, partner, or family member, whether you have just 10 minutes after a long day or time for a full session. Massage can become a lifelong companion.
The school provides adjustable massage tables so you can work at the correct height, and we use high-quality organic massage oils.
You’ll both give and receive massage in a space of complete care and responsibility.
Massage takes place during a themed week, giving you time for deep immersion.
