Odder Højskole

In Musicology, we take a theoretical and analytical approach as we dive into the fascinating and captivating world of music.

We listen closely, analyze, and geek out over different styles of music. We explore structure, form, dynamics, and style. In short, we put various—mostly rhythmic—pieces into context, looking at music history, theory, geography, and sometimes even politics.

We’ll break down songs from all over the world, learning to listen with new ears and discover the many layers hidden within. The goal is for you to develop a much deeper understanding of music’s mysterious and fascinating nature.

This course offers fresh insights for those who want to create their own tracks and musical magic in Music Production or find the perfect soundtrack for Film Production.
