Painting at Odder Højskole is for anyone interested in creating powerful and personal images. In our digital world, we’re constantly bombarded with images trying to tell us something—but in painting, you’re the one who sets the agenda. It’s all about how you see the world. The painting process becomes a journey into your own personal space.
The best way to learn painting is by painting, but knowledge and inspiration are just as important. You’ll get a solid introduction to materials and techniques, as well as key concepts like composition, color theory, space, and surface.

Throughout the subjects, you’ll explore the magic behind the works of great painters—what makes Rembrandt, van Gogh, Picasso, David Hockney, and Peter Doig so special? We’ll put it into words and draw inspiration from their masterpieces.
