Percussion

Odder Højskole

In Percussion, we dive into rhythms and all kinds of percussion instruments — from mouth percussion and sequencer games to various rhythm training methods. We also get creative and play “anything that makes a sound,” Stomp-style, exploring Cuban, Brazilian, and New Orleans rhythms on instruments like congas, claves, cowbells, and much more.

This course covers the instruments that provide the rhythmic backbone of music. Besides those mentioned, you might also play tambourines, castanets, xylophones, snare drums, and cymbals.

The only requirement to join is a passion for working with rhythm.

If you just can’t get enough of rhythm, you can also join the school band or feel the beat with your whole body in the school’s Dance Workshop.
