THE LONG TERM STAY

A long course at Odder Højskole is a stay that lasts between 19 and 24 weeks, where you live and spend your everyday life at the school together with other students.

In the autumn, you can start in August on our 19-week course. In the spring, we begin in January with a 24-week course.

You’ll live, eat, learn, ”hygge” and party, at the school. The days are filled with engaging teaching, cultural experiences, peaceful moments, and challenging activities for both mind and body. You’ll become part of a unique community, speak a lot of English, and form lifelong friendships – with people from all over the world.

During a long stay, you’ll have regular weeks where you follow a schedule with five different subjects each week. In addition, there are three project weeks (Ø-weeks), where you choose one subject to immerse yourself in for a whole week. We all go on a shared study trip – usually to a European capital – and we host folk high school evenings ranging from lectures on brain science and politics to concerts and theater trips. And that’s not even mentioning the morning singing, all the parties, and the events you’ll plan together with your fellow students.

Here at Odder Højskole, you can choose from 80 different subjects – so there’s bound to be something that matches your interests and curiosity.

There are no exams or admission requirements for our subjects.
It’s all about finding what suits you. Whether it’s music, design, film, technology, sports, consciousness, psychology, or communication.
